Book a Farm Tour
If you’re interested to see what we’ve done here at Cassie’s Farm, or have questions about planting natives and how to get started, these farm tours are for you!
As Owner/Farmer/Forester, Ian will be your tour guide. We’ll drive around the farm in our six seater buggy with a commentary on what we’re looking at. As we cruise around, we can also stop and talk about anything that catches your attention. Young children often like to hang out with the Jersey cattle. You may be interested in the ecology of the forest, freshwater or Continuous Cover Forestry. Perhaps you’re content just to be off road, in the fresh air, with not another person in sight and soaking up the views. If you’ve never been on a farm before, this will be a gentle introduction to farming and tree planting; if you’re hard core and have more in depth questions, Ian is happy to oblige!
Whatever your reason for visiting, I’ll do my best to ensure you have an interesting and enjoyable tour.
2 hour tour, in our 6 seater Polaris (max 5 people).
Includes morning / afternoon tea stop.
Bring plenty of layers (too much is definitely better than too little), sunnies and hat, and wear sturdy shoes.
There’s a saying in the country:
There’s no such thing as bad weather – only inappropriate clothing!
Our farm is on an exposed ridge. On a calm sunny day it’s paradise up here, but if the wind is coming from the South West you’ll freeze your tail off if you don’t bring enough clothes.
Our tour buggy has a roof but no sides. If it rains you will get wet. If it’s also cold, you’ll get wet and cold! So, bring layers and get ready for a memorable 2 hours of fresh air and fun!
